IC 1805  from BMV Observatories
The Heart Nebula (IC 1805, SH2-190) is a large emission nebula in Cassiopeia. The bright knot at the lower left is NGC 896. The nebula magnitude is listed as 18.3 and its apparent dimension is 1 degree. It lies about 7,500 light years away and is 200 light years in diameter.

Exposure: Luminance: 12x10 minutes R:12x10 min G:12x7 min B:12x10 min Ha:12X10 min all unbinned for a total of 9.4 hours
Processing: Image acquisition using CCD Autopilot. Initial processing was done using Maxim DL with subsequent processing using Photoshop. I combined the HA with both the Red and Luminance subs in Photoshop to create the Red and Luminance layers for this image to bring out more color and detail in the nebula.
